Deception Valley Campsite is one of the most famous and wildlife-rich areas within the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. Located along expansive open pans and grasslands, the campsite is known for exceptional predator activity, including frequent sightings of lions, cheetahs, and brown hyenas. The surrounding landscape offers dramatic horizons, wide open skies, and classic Kalahari scenery.
This campsite provides an authentic remote safari experience, with minimal facilities and complete immersion in the desert wilderness. Deception Valley is especially popular for wildlife photography, sunrise and sunset views, and unforgettable stargazing under the clear Kalahari night sky.

There is no electricity so campers should ensure they bring plenty of their own lighting.

Showers and geysers are heated and powered by solar power.
Braai / Barbeque Area
Each campsite has its own fire pit with a braai / barbeque stand.
Refuse Removal
All trash / rubbish bins are emptied on a daily basis for litter-free campsites.
